Auburn University’s Director of Athletics Allen Greene was the guest speaker at the 2018 Summertime Leadership Lee County Alumni Breakfast!
Greene shared some of his personal anecdotes as well as his philosophy on productive leadership styles.

Leigh Krehling, Community Relations Officer for the City of Opelika, was awarded Volunteer of the Year by the United Way. Leigh helped the city to raise more than $30,000 for the United Way.

Charlie Saliba, LLC Class of 2016 – 2017, was recently awarded the Collaborative Spirit Award from AUburn University. The recipient of this award exemplifies a true collaborative spirit. He or she volunteers to assist others and cheerfully provides feedback when called upon. This employee proactively offers thoughtful guidance, share creative ideas, and provide innovative solutions to others. While achieving his/her goals, this colleague also works to help others be successful.

Leadership Lee County Class of 2015-2016 Holds Ribbon Cutting for Playground Constructed for Twin Cedars – Child Advocacy Center
The playground for Twin Cedars – Child Advocacy Center officially opened with a joint Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Opelika and Auburn Chambers of Commerce. Tina Evans, Program Coordinator, and Twin Cedars’ Executive Director, Mike Angstadt, spoke with gratitude to the 2015-2016 Class of Leadership Lee County and offered words of appreciation for the class who selected the playground as their service project. Many local businesses donated materials and money to support this project, and the class spent hours working to make it special. Members of the 2015-2016 Leadership Class were present, along with LLC board members, and members of the Opelika and Auburn Chambers of Commerce, to celebrate the completion of the project and to celebrate the impact it will have on the center and the children who visit there.
